During a battle between the New Warriors and a villain named Nitro, an entire city block of Stamford Connecticut (including an elementary school) is blown up. The X-Men, Avengers and Fantastic Four all help in the effort to recover survivors.

A fireman shouts to Cyclops and Rachel for help. They have located survivors under a large pile of tons of rubble. Rachel telekinetically lifts up the rubble, and the firemen rescue the family.
