Cable gets into a taxi. His friend, reporter Irene Merryweather, has been seriously injured and Cable is rushing to the hospital to see her.

The cabdriver asks him where to, but before Nathan can answer, he has a vision of Rachel in a cage calling for him. She looks like she's in pain. She's the same age as when she entered the timestream to save Captain Britain and wearing her red Phoenix costume. The cage is outside a formal looking mansion and guarded by two very large, alien creatures with large halberds.

The cabdriver asks if Nathan needs to go to the hospital and if he's okay, since he looks like he's seen a ghost.

Nathan tells him to get him to St. Claire's hospital, and explains that he was just thinking about a missing relative. He thinks to himself that he needs to figure out how to find her.
