Rachel Summers Returns in X-Men Legacy #248
Rachel Summers finally returned to X-books in X-Men Legacy #248, although technically she had been around for a while.
Spoiler Warning….
It turns out that Rachel is Revenant.
During the start of Age of X, Rachel had been trying to telepathically contact Professor X or Emma, attempting to deliver a message, but got caught up in the alternate reality and stuck into someone else’s body. Now, she’s stuck in sort of a ghost form, the link to her body has been severed and she doesn’t remember what the message was.
Odds are, it was some sort of cry for help or S.O.S. and the others are still out in space in distress with Rachel’s real body.
In X-Men Legacy, Rachel has a heartwarming talk with Scott, who calls on the Science Team to help bring Rachel and the others home.
There’s been rumors that X-Men Legacy 250 will feature some sort of mention of the X-Men in space, so it’s likely this plot will continue in X-Men Legacy (which is coming out every two weeks).
Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (War of Kings) are taking over New Mutants, so perhaps the New Mutants will head out on a rescue mission?

I just read X-men legacy and shouted out with joy when i found out that it was Rachel! so glad she’s coming back

I think it’s pretty clear that it’ll be Carey’s team of Rogue, Gambit, Frenzy, Legion, Professor X and Magneto who’ll be doing the rescuing.
